Keeping Your Head In The Game

It continues to amaze me how important a strong mind is in the world. I’m sometimes concerned that we are not allowing our kids to fail and learn to cope with different situations. I have read articles about helicopter parents and problems these kids experience when they grow up and are in relationships or work situations. It’s also critical to watch for early signs of anxiety, depression and other symptoms as there may be more going on.

I recently spent a few hours with someone later in their career and I was learning about some things that they are going through. As I listened closely to some of their struggles and the obstacles getting in their way, I started making a list of things they should try to avoid or reduce the amount of time they spend on certain unhealthy activities. ***It also reminded me that we never know what the person next to us on the bench has lived through in their life, remember that! The stories they can tell might be surprising.
