Fearless Made Limitless

This quote is a common saying that originated from a Chinese proverb. It means even the longest and most difficult ventures have a starting point — all you need to do is to take that first step!

But why is the first step so hard? Fear has made lots of people stopped from doing things that they always wanted to do.

I’m definitely not a fearless person. I’m afraid of failure, ignorance, and even that spider on the wall… but I push myself to explore the world and unlock the inner potential.

This quote is the best companion over the years of my wanderlust. The journey begins with the move from Taiwan to Shanghai, China with my family when I was in elementary school. At the age of 14, I packed my suitcases, bought the one-way ticket, and started my new life in the US. A decade after, Seattle is the place that I consider as the third home. But my fear of change could not resist my wanderlust. I seized the opportunity and moved to Lyon, France during my college years at University of Washington.

After working a few years in advertising technology and fashion marketing fields, I’m ready for the next chapter of life — moving to NYC and continuing my master’s degree in integrated marketing.

Just like this blog post, this is only the first step — and there’re many more to come. I will be sharing my ideas on marketing in the era of IoT, both big and small. Marketing is a field that changes rapidly, especially with the rise of new technology that allows us to understand our audiences better than ever before (or even better than themselves). Although I’m a new blogger, my enthusiasm told me don’t limit myself to learn more along the marketing journey — being agile and flexible are the key characteristics to succeed in this field. With the passion for marketing, I will share what I’ve learned in the digital marketing course in combination with my working experiences.

I hope I will be able to provide some marketing insights that you might find useful in your life and career. Hope you will enjoy the journey with me — so stay tuned!
