Conversations with the Moon

i talk to the moon at night

sometimes

as she sits and listens

to me talk about my dreams

she illuminates them with her light

and shares my vision

with the stars

she understands

without judgement

she guides my spirit

with silence

it’s exactly what i need

when i feel as though

my thoughts take over

my mind

looking at her

brings me clarity

peace of mind

with her and i

there’s no struggle

no resistance

no need to defend

my wrongdoings

because she’s already been

through it all

heard and seen it all before

our energy combines

and there’s nothing else to it

i sit here

eyes closed

and just submit
