Premier fixture preview

Carrick return to the Ballybay road for only their second home league game of the season, their only game at home to date a 1–0 win over Chord Celtic.Carrick come into this tie on the back of a memorable comeback away to Kentstown,2–0 down at halftime they turned the tables in the second half to secure a 3–2 victory.Rock secured their first away win of the season when they beat local rivals Bellurgan United 1–0 in Flynn Park. The win means they have three points from a possible nine on the road this season.Last season Rock secured a 1–0 win at Carrick.

Quay return home for their fifth home game of the season on Thursday night, the clancy park side are unbeaten at home picking up an impressive ten points from a possible twelve to date. They do however come into this one on the back of their first loss of the season as they fell to a 4–1 loss away to Kells Celtic last weekend where they also finished the game with ten meaning they suffer a suspension this week.Kentstowns miserable start to the season continued last week as they conceded a 2–0 lead to lose 3–2 at home to Carrick. With no wins in five league ties to date they need to be on top of their game to take anything away from Clancy park on Thursday night.Last season Quay ran out comfortable 4–1 winners at Clancy Park.

Bellurgans third home game in a row sees them welcome Parkvilla to Flynn park. The two games previous havent gone to plan for the peninsula side, losing 2–0 to Carrick & 1–0 to Rock respectively, they’ll be hoping its third time lucky on Friday night.Their only home win to date was a 2–1 victory over Kells Celtic.Parkvilla have yet to display the form which landed them second place last season, last week falling to a 1–0 loss to Chord in Drogheda. The loss was Parkvilla’s third in as many away ties & Friday nights task is made that bit more difficult with the loss of key men Jamie Blake & Ryan Murphy through suspension.A big game for both sides as they look for three points.Last season Parkvilla took all three points in a 4–2 win.

The big games keep coming for Trim Celtic as high flying Chord Celtic are the visitors on Sunday morning.Trims leinster run has left them a little behind in games as they sit in second, five points behind Chord who are first, but with two games in hand on the Drogheda side. The tie will also see the return of former Trim manager Alan Murphy to Tully park where the now Chord manager enjoyed plenty of success in his time at the club.Trim couldnt come into the game on a higher note after last weekends dramatic 1–0 win over Gorey Rangers in the Leinster junior cup final to complete an impressive treble.Trim have however only played once at home in the league this season,an opening day 2–2 draw with Bellurgan United.Chord have been one of the form sides in the league to date with fifteen points from six games, they have only been on the road twice to date collecting three points in those ties which came against Kells Celtic in a 3–2 win.Their only loss this season a 1–0 away to Carrick.Chords hopes of overturning trim at home may be hampered by two suspensions picked up last week vs Parkvilla but whatever the teams on display Sunday this is sure to be a cracking tie & potentially the pick of the weekends games.
